Gaming Unplugged

ADVISOR: Mr. Licopoli

DESCRIPTION: Gaming Unplugged is a club designed for students to gather and play board games and other tabletop roleplaying games such as Dungeons and Dragons. The goal is to have a fun time journeying through adventures that Dungeons & Dragons can provide. The club encourages students to coordinate and plan as a team. It is also an effective way to socialize.

Roleplaying Games: Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) is a fantasy role playing game (RPG) in which players create characters and embark on adventures. Dungeons and Dragons takes many traditional elements from the fantasy genre (popularized in the mid 21st century by Tolkein's Lord of the Rings, CS Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia, as well as JK Rowling's Harry Potter and George RR Martin's Song of Ice and Fire in recent years) to provide players a stage on which they create. The D&D official website describes the game with reference to one of the oldest human traditions: storytelling. 'The core of D&D is storytelling. You and your friends tell a story together, guiding your heroes through quests for treasure, battles with deadly foes, daring rescues, courtly intrigue and much more.
